gift ideas

Hi all. I should be grateful if you would answer two questions: what gifts do you prefer to get and what gifts do you hate? I need it for article Gift Ideas for Scorpio. Thanx. Alexander, Russia.

Anthing shiny and sparkly...like pvc clothes are fabulous. Or go-go boots.

Not to mention I like anything unique and extraordinary. Ordinary stuff is boring.

That all depends on who is buying the gift!
Boyfrinds.... Nothing is better than diamonds and gold (and chocolate)
Parents.... Money!!! Then I can get at least something I like not what I NEED!
Friends.... They cant go wrong if they buy me a book that is a gripping thriller or supernatural chiller.

I like Godiva Chocolate, Zoppini charms, and other "brand name" things that are expensive.

I hate flowers.

I don't want something that I ask for, but something that I would still like that would surprise me. I always guess my presents because people don't know how to think beyond a wish list.

Something interesting and unique would be something I like. Something not everyone has, but not a "novelty" gift.

I also like artwork and things that are old like antique journals.

a lot of times it's easier to go with things that are ~needed~ rather than wanted... if you know a scorp needs something replaced because the old one is broken, that often makes us happy because it shows you're thinking about us pretty closely. a new hammer or something isn't very romantic, true but the sensuality of someone thinking of us that personally makes up for that ;)

gifts that are kind of "dark" i suppose - tarot cards, occult stuff, history on the occult books, maybe some awesome candles, some blood red cosmetics, books by my favorite author, movies i enjoy, that sort of thing

things i hate? clothing...because nobody ever buys what i like!

I completely agree, except I'd take out the blood red cosmetics. I don't like getting cosmetics for the same reason I hate getting clothes... Nobody gets what I like. I cannot for the life of me bring myself to get gift certificates, but I love getting them as long as they're for places like Borders where there's a wide range of things. I also agree with a statement below-- I hate it when people ask me what I want. It makes me uncomfortable.

Chocolate! Good chocolate though. Daskalidés are my fave, but any Belgian chocolate will do. The darker the better.

I hate ornaments of any sort. Things that are useless suck.

I love money or just random things..anything unique or rare..I also love getting anything that has to do with scorpios..or anything that teaches me more about me:D

I like to get things that I've mentioned before but forgot about. Like "Gee I don't have enough money to get this now but I'd like to one day" and then a few months later I get it for my birthday. That's great. Or I hate when they ask "what do you want" cause I can't think of things off the top of my head.

Sorry I'm not very specific but you know what I mean.

I would hate make up as a gift or any stuffed dead animal.
I love, candles, incense, anything astrology related, perfume that I love.

Likes: anything that shows that the buyer too time to think about what they got you and the gift shows that they know you.

dislikes: Well, I can't claim to dislike any gift, but I am dissappointed with the generic "here have a present" gift that you could give to any person.

I like stuff that I can use. It's even better when the person uses his/her time to think what I might like. It's great to get a gift that is something that i've been wanting or needing. If it's something i mentioned before like "I'd like to have that" and that person gives me that, it means a lot to me since i know they usually pay attention to me.

And yes, I also dislike the kind of gifts you give to anyone. I like to feel special :p ... ohhh and hand made gifts also!

Likes: jewelry if it's not too gaudy, bath and body stuff, books
Dislikes: stuffed animals, anything with the word "organizer" in the title

at this point...just about anything having to do with sailor moon either anime, live action or manga would suffice for me. i'm also in the market for movies so...

as for dislikes...i'd have to say anything frilly. i'm not much of a "girly girl". i would prefer to buy clothes for myself instead of someone trying to figure out what my tastes are since they change with the tides. i'm very much a chameleon.

I hate gifts that are useless to me, something I'll never use. I hate generic gifts or anything that was bought just to buy something (no thought put into it)

I don't care for practical gifts that much. no fun in those. "oh, socks....great" not my thing. I prefer things I've wanted for a long time but couldn't afford (doesn't mean its expensive, I have a tight budget!)

I love things that are unique, colorful, odd. something you can't find just anywhere, but also like someone else said NOT novelty items. not touristy stuff. I prefer things that last a long time, something reusable, like a CD or just something that I will like for a long time.

I don't give a shit about diamonds or flowers. chocolate (if its good quality, preferably dark) is nice.

I don't care about jewelry for the most part, or perfume.

my sister is the only person that can pick out clothes I like (and they always fit) but nobody else can so I don't like gettign clothes, unless they're from her.

gift certificates are cool if its a cool place

UNlike a lot of people said, I actually enjoy useless gifts--there are a lot of things (like flowers, CUTE (not generic) stuffed animals or funny little toys) that get my attention in stores but I would never ever buy for myself. That's probably what I like best about gifts--it's a time when someone can buy me something I like but don't need, that way I'm happy but don't feel guilty or frivolous for wasting my money on it.

I do agree with alot of the people who said they hate people getting them clothes--that is a very personal thing that I have to decide for myself, but I feel guilty if someone things the clothes they got me "aren't good enough" for me to wear.

likes: beauty or body products such as lotions and massage oils, candles, incenses, diaries or scrapbooks, good books about the unusual (mistery, occult, supernatural, fantasy, psychological books), abstract artwork, sexy and exotic things, a fine bottle of drink, a good picnic in a nice environment, chocolates or fine candy, plants or decoratives of my taste, money, surprises, useful things that are interesting and unusual, anything unusual or carefully chosen

dislikes: clothes, souvenirs, flowers, anything that's easily chosen without an effort like last hour presents

I too hate getting clothes! For one like others have said they are never to taste and the never fit properly! The other reason is that you feel obliged to wear them at least once and if its christmas you can guarantee you will get your pic snapped in them. If my boy friend ever buys me underwear he knows that he should never buy anything red!

I agree with a lot of the other scorps about gifts that are well thought out and unique. Something that shows that you have paid attention to me. Something that you observe that I need and could use! That not only flatters me but it makes me get you a really well thought out gift for when you need one.

I getting a gift that was not well thought out. If you don't have money to get me a gift, a well thought out Card or a card made by you means more to me than any materialistic gift because then it is a very personal gesture!

Likes: Chocolate, money, jewelry, fun books, music, anything practical that I actually NEED
Dislikes: Clothing (nobody gets what I want, be it color, style, or fit), makeup, self-help books, posters/artwork
